Moore County Journal Selects Trey Gabehart as Local Sports Contributor

Dumas alum and sports broadcaster Trey Gabehart has been selected by the Moore County Journal as the new sports contributor. Gabehart, who grew up in Dumas, spent most of his life around the local sports scene and understands the culture.

He was the Dumas Demon sideline reporter for KDDD radio during the 2020 football season and has done play-by-play commentary for other sports.

Gabehart will bring fresh energy and more content to the Moore County Journal sports section and he will also be publishing a weekly sports show coming soon. Trey says he plans on working to spotlight local teams and student-athletes. He told Moore County Journal Publisher Raymond Brady in a recent Top Story podcast episode that he wants to “shine the light on everybody, I don’t want it to be just one set of people, I want it to shine on all those kids.”
