DUMAS, TX – Texan Sky Credit Union has awarded 10 scholarships totaling $15,000.00. The four-member scholarship committee judged 19 applicants on the basis of length of credit union membership, the number of credit union services utilized, academic achievement, leadership, and character. The scholarship recipients will be attending schools throughout Texas.
Over the past twenty years, Texan Sky Credit Union has awarded scholarships to credit union members pursuing post-secondary education.
The board of directors believes this is a positive way to inspire and reward the hard work and dedication of student members. Texan Sky Credit Union is a $70 Million, not-for-profit, financial cooperative, serving approximately 8,000 members in 40 states and several foreign countries. Credit union members are eligible to apply for a scholarship if they are full-time students pursuing an education at a university, college, junior college, trade or vocational school. Each application is scored anonymously, based on predetermined criteria. Each of the ten 2022 scholarship recipients received a scholarship ranging from $2,250.00 to $875.00.
