The Demons broke a scoreless deadlock on a run-scoring single from third baseman Jace Torrez, and Isael Olivas plated Torrez with a base hit up the middle to make the score 2-0. Imanol Marquez crossed the plate on an error to cap the three-run frame.

Tascosa foiled the shutout on an RBI single off the bat of right fielder Brayden Keeter.

Torrez went 3-for-3 with a run and an RBI to pace the Demons’ offensive attack.

Dumas suffered a 15-5 setback to Amarillo High in their first game Saturday at Sandie Field and finished the tourney with a narrow 5-4 loss to the Caprock Longhorns.
