A fire burned about 40 acres in the blue West area of Hutchinson County on Sunday, the Hutchinson County Local Emergency Planning Committee reported. A large grass fire was reported about 3 p.m. and was then turned over to the Moore County Emergency Management.
Officials also reported fires near Texas Highways 687 and 152 were extinguished, and there were no injuries or structure damage. Officials weren’t available Monday to give details about the cause of the fires.
