Four Injured After Pickup Crashes in Lao Sticky Rice Trailer

Thursday afternoon around 1:30 p.m. a black 2007 Lincoln pickup was traveling northbound on Dumas Avenue and crashed into the Lao Sticky Rice trailer located at 200 S. Dumas Avenue.

A black 2007 Lincoln pickup crashed into the Lao Sticky Rice trailer located at 200 S. Dumas Avenue injuring 3 workers and the driver.

The cause of the crash was unknown according to a Dumas Police Department (DPD) press release at 4:58 p.m. The pickup traveled northwest across southbound lanes, crossed a parking lot, and continued traveling northwest where it crashed into the trailer.

The food trailer was occupied by 3 people who were transported to Moore County Hospital as well as the driver of the pickup. At least one person was airlifted to Amarillo. The status of those involved in the wreck was not known by DPD.

Dumas Police continue to investigate the cause of the wreck. According to the DPD press release, intoxication was not believed to be a factor in the cause of the wreck.
