This will be the third year for Feeding Dumas, Inc to host it’s annual Thanksgiving dinner. The event was started in 2017 by Kathy Trayler of Dumas. She had a vision to feed people who were alone on Thanksgiving or those who were in need during the holidays.

With the assistance of Moore County Judge Rowdy Rhoades, Evelyn Theatre owner Randy Nies, and several others Kathy was able to organize the first event which fed over 100 people. Volunteers even delivered meals to home bound residents.

The event takes place at the Moore County Community Building each year. This years event starts at 11:00am and is open until 2:00pm. The meal is free.

Kathy is currently seeking donations and volunteers to help with this years event. For more information contact Kathy Trayler at (806) 930-7603 or visit their website at
