DUMAS, TX – Dumas ISD continues its program to recognize the Teacher of the Month at the Elementary and Secondary levels. Each month the selected teachers receive a certificate, a Dumas Demon backpack, a Starbucks gift card, and a $50.00 gift courtesy of Janet Walker, Realtor, with Berkshire Hathaway. 

The Secondary Teacher of the Month for November is Ceci Williams, Social Studies Teacher at NPOC.

NPOC Principal, Stan Williams, provided these words on behalf of Mrs. Williams: “Mrs. Williams builds great relationships with all or our students. She sets high standards for students and holds them accountable. NPOC/Education is always evolving, Mrs. Williams adjusts her teaching methods based on best practices and student levels. She is constantly finding ways to engage students in and out of the classroom. Her high energy is refreshing to our staff and students.

The Elementary Teacher of the Month for November is Marisa Hesseltine, 2nd Grade Teacher at Green Acres.

Green Acres Principal, Andrea Cox, provided these words on behalf of Mrs. Hesseltine: “Mrs. Hesseltine goes above and beyond what is expected of her in the classroom by setting goals and having high expectations for herself and her students. She guides her kids to meet the expectations she has for them and models hard working characteristics. Her classroom management is impeccable, yet she is always doing whatever it takes to make herself better. She is a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher who has had a positive impact on her students and the teaching profession. Marisa actively participates in all school activities – daily and special events.
