At the time of publishing this article, all future UIL events have been suspended until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, in early March before the UIL suspended events, Dumas High School Theatre and Speech students competed in district competition and performed very well.

Casandra Jones and Carolina Rojas have advanced to UIL state competition for their costume design entries. Only 28 students were chosen for costume design from all 1A-4A High Schools in the state.
