MIDLAND, TX – The Dumas Demonettes blanked El Paso Riverside 5-0 Friday in a Class 4A Girl’s Bi-District playoff matchup at the Grande Communications Complex in Midland.

Dumas (5-10-4) will play the Lake View Maidens (12-5-2) Tuesday at 5 p.m. in an Area Round encounter at Lubbock Cooper High School.

Junior Arisbeth Loya tallied a pair of goals while senior Tori Harris, junior Yessenia Gonzalez, and senior Daisy Sosa scored one goal apiece.

Harris and sophomore Hai Ray Paw posted a clean sheet inside the net to notch the shutout for coach Raphael McHenry’s squad.

Clint Tops Dumas in Overtime

The Demons season came to an end with an overtime bi-district loss to the El paso Clint Lions at the Grande Communications Complex in Midland.

The two teams battled to a 1-1 tie in regulation to set the stage for a dramatic finish. However, the Lions connected on a trio of penalty kicks to advance to the area round, 3-0.
