LUBBOCK, TX – The San Angelo Lake View Maidens defeated the Dumas Demonettes 3-0 Tuesday night in a Class 4A area playoff matchup at Lubbock-Cooper High School.
Dumas, which finished in second place in District 2-4A and blanked the El Paso Riverside Lady Rangers in bi-district action, ended the season with a 5-11-4 record.
Jazmyne Flores snapped a scoreless deadlock to give Lake View a 1-0 advantage, and Ally Flores found the back of the net to push the lead to 2-0. The Maidens sealed the playoff win with an unassisted goal from Faith Miller.
The Demonettes took 21 shots against Lake View keeper Jennifer Mata, who finished with a clean sheet to earn the shutout.
Seniors Clarissa Hinojosa, Yareli Sanchez, Valeria Ramirez, Brianna Portillo, Daisy Sosa, Lesly Chavez, Mia Campbell, Ashley Sanchez, and Tori Harris capped their prep soccer careers with back-to-back bi-district titles.
