City of Cactus Works with TxDOT to Light Up U.S. 287

The City of Cactus announced Thursday that they will be working with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to install highway lighting along the city’s 2 mile stretch of Highway 287.

Images posted on the City of Cactus Facebook page show the location of the new lighting. City officials said on Facebook “We would like to thank TxDOT for its continued efforts in promoting highway safety and anxiously await the improvements to our city’s roadways.”

According to the City of Cactus construction is slated to begin in the Fall of 2020.
