DUMAS, TX - Former Borger High School boys' basketball coach Jordan Windholz has been named the new head coach of the Dumas Demons basketball team. Windholz replaces Randy Ray, who will continue to serve as an assistant principal at Dumas High School.
Dumas opened the 2021-22 season on a winning note with a 75-32 road win Saturday against the Dalhart Wolves. The Demons shot 41 percent from the field and collected a whopping 24 steals in the blowout win.

The Dumas High volleyball team rallied from two sets down to advance in the UIL Class 4A playoffs with a five-set victory over the Canyon Lady Eagles, Monday in a regional quarterfinal matchup at Tascosa High School.
Dumas knocked off Levelland and Pecos to reach the regional quarterfinals, while Canyon eliminated Big Spring and Midland Greenwood to advance to the third round.
The Demonettes continued their march towards the regional finals with a four-set win against the Pecos Lady Eagles in the area round of the UIL Class 4A playoffs at Lubbock-Cooper High School.
