Judge Billie Faye Schumacher can add Dumas Noon Lions Old Timer to the lengthy list of titles she’s accumulated during her decades of service to the community. The Lions will officially present Schumacher with the title at their meeting Thursday.
Judge Schumacher began her long career in 1966 as justice of the peace and then served as county judge. She was the first woman to join the Sunray Lions Club and the first female justice of the peace to hold the office of president of the State Justice of the Peace and Constables Association.
