The United Way of Moore County had a record-breaking year as the community came together and raised $600,568 for the 2019/2020 Campaign. This year’s goal was $530,000.

Money raised during the Annual Campaign goes to 18 member agencies and the funds stay in the local community to help those in Moore County. The campaign Drive Chair this year was Carl Watson of the Dumas/Moore County Chamber of Commerce.

“I was very proud of the agencies who will benefit from this year’s contributions,” said Jackie Wiswell, United Way of Moore County Executive Director. “Almost all of the agencies got their cards worked and turned in by the deadlines to earn extra points. This year has been a great year for my first year as United Way of Moore County’s Executive Director. Carl Watson, our Drive Chair, did a great job. He was fast to say yes to serving and went to all 45 presentations that we did on behalf of United Way of Moore County.”

United Way of Moore County’s mission strives to improve lives and give hope to Moore County residents through the collaboration of skills, expertise and resources of donors, volunteers, agencies and the community.
