Feeding Dumas Inc. held their annual Thanksgiving event on Thursday November 28 at the Moore County Community Building. Over 400 Thanksgiving meals were served to area residents who were either home-bound during the holiday or did not have friends or family to spend the day with.
“It was a huge success. We had a lot more donations come in and alot more volunteers.” according to Kathy Trayler president of the non-profit organization.
Around 75 volunteers worked to make the event a success. Meals were served at the community building and others were delivered by volunteer drivers to those who were home-bound.
